Here's the all new gig news!

Saturday 22nd July - Loving The Aliens @ Sheffield Leadmill with Ha Logic, Its Jo & Danny, Jane Weaver, ManAtom, Mum & Dad.  I AM KLOOT are due on stage at 9.10pm, doors are open 7.30pm - 3am. £5 (adv.) £6 (door).  Why not go and look at the Leadmill's website?

Sunday 23rd July - The Night And Day Glam Slam! @ Night and Day Cafe, Oldham Street, Manchester.  A concept dreamt up by Goldblade guitarist Jay Taylor, where a load of top Manc bands come on and play one Glam cover-version of their choice.  Apart from I AM KLOOT, amongst others there's The Clint Boon Experience, Jane Weaver, Los Nachos, B.Fab.UK, Desolation Angels, Godsister Helen, Jackie O and Lemming Rain.
Exactly what songs the bands have picked to cover is still under wraps, but if you're going the event kicks off at 4pm.  £3 / £4.

Sun 6th August - Eastern Promise Festival, Norwich.

Sat 12th August - Emmboda Festival, Sweden.

Sun 13th August - D:Percussion/Water's Edge Festival - Manchester (Castlefield Arena).
This was completely free in previous years, so I imagine it'll be the same this year.  Try and sneak your own beer past the security guards though (don't tell 'em I told you)!

I AM KLOOT are also playing at the Carling Weekend.  The lads are on the Carling Premier Stage on Friday 25th August in Reading and Monday 28th August in Leeds. Along with loads of other top bands, and there seems to be a big entourage from the trendy city of Manchester with Elbow, The Clint Boon Experience, Badly Drawn Boy, Ian Brown, Doves, and some lads imitating Oasis.  Well, they might as well be.

The band are recording the eagerly awaited debut album in July, on the Isle of Mull with Guy Garvey producing.

On Friday 19th May, I AM KLOOT signed an album deal with We Love You / Wall of Sound records,  and the I AM KLOOT track 'To You' appears on a Wall of Sounds/We Love You records compilation entitled 'We Love You...So Love Us", which became available on CD and Vinyl from Monday 29th May.  Other artists include, amongst others, Shawn Lee and Sirconical.
